This listing specifies Type R (Pt/Pt-Rh 13%), grounded or ungrounded junction, ceramic sheath and ceramic-block connection. Engineering identifies Type R with high-purity ceramic protection as a starting option for selected glass-furnace crown/superstructure (indicative process zone 1200–1700°C), regenerator/checker chamber (600–1600°C) and forehearth/conditioning (800–1500°C) points. These zone temperatures are not this product's continuous operating rating. The listed ceramic sheath does not establish C799 purity or a completed glass-furnace assembly; confirm compatible protection, insulation, insertion length, mounting, atmosphere and the finished assembly's rated duty for each order. Do not use this listing as approval for glass immersion or every measurement point in those zones.
