Plan pipeline measurement around the point list: identify each line and location, the required process value, operating conditions and the instrument input. Note flow context, insulation, access and whether a reading is needed during normal operation or maintenance. A pipe-wall reading and a reading from within the process are different measurement points.
For an external contact point, record pipe size, accessible contact area, surface condition, mounting clearance and lead route. For a proposed inserted point, provide the process connection, required insertion dimensions, medium and operating conditions for review.
